If you’re hosting a wedding shower for a special friend, you want the wedding decorations for the shower to help create a memorable background for the day. You can use traditional themes for the wedding shower, or create a theme of your own and key the wedding shower decorations to the theme. Here are some decorating suggestions that you can use in any setting.
You’ll find many traditional wedding shower decorations at party supply shops. Some favorite ideas to include are a decorated wishing well for gifts and lace parasols filled with confetti to be released over the bride-to-be.
For quick decorating and a festive air, buy several bunches of balloons in the bride’s wedding colors. Use curling ribbon for strings, and curl the ends to different lengths, and weight some with lightweight angels made of silk or other fabric. If you blow them up yourself, drop a pinch of confetti or glitter into each balloon before inflating them.
Just before the bride arrives at the shower site, release the balloons around the room to hover at different heights, blessing the bride with hovering angels. When balloons pop, as some invariably will, they’ll shower the room with angel dust for extra wishes.
